Summer Exploration
Get out there and see what the area offers! Elk Rapids, Charlevoix, Petoskey, Suttons Bay, Leland, Northport, Frankfort—all these local towns are filled with adventure! Simple beach fun is also a summer favorite (and right outside our doors), as well as hiking, biking, kayaking the Boardman, and renting a boat to explore the inland lakes and bays.
Outdoor Activities
ABC’s Good Morning America once voted Sleeping Bear Dunes as the #1 “Most Beautiful Place in America.” This must-see natural attraction and national landmark contains more than 50,000 acres of unspoiled sugar-sand beaches, inland lakes, mountainous dune, and islands. Explore the 100 miles of hiking trails here all year long.
Beaver Island Boat Company provides ferry trips to Beaver Island, where you can enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, and canoeing. Take a guided tour or just lay out on the beach—the choice is yours. If baseball is more your pastime, cheer on the Traverse City Pit Spitters at our beautiful ball park
Tis the Season for Winter Fun
