Calling All Wine Lovers
Over 30 wineries call Traverse City home, and most of them are in the nearby Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas alone. In Traverse City, we have a wine for every palate, from earthy Pinot Noirs and exotic Gewürztraminer wines to crisp Chardonnays. Before you head out on a wine-filled afternoon tour, make sure to download your Wine Trail Map from Leelanau peninsula and Old Mission peninsula.
Here for the Beer
Traverse City is experiencing a booming local beer scene, with Draft Magazine naming our city as one of America’s three newest Emerging Beer Towns. Pub-crawl through over 16 brewpubs, microbreweries, and craft brew taprooms like the locals, with a traditional TC Ale Trail passport, or take it to the next level with the TC Cycle Pub, a 14-passenger bike bar.
Something A Little Stronger
Traverse City also has no shortage of distilleries. You can find everything from fruit-filled brandies to small-batch whiskeys and vodkas at one of the many microdistillers in the area. If you're wanting a history lesson as well, you can visit the Grand Traverse Distillery, known as Michigan's oldest "grain to bottle" micro distillery.
